Hi, I am a biology student in London eager to practise my Japanese. My native tongue is Chinese but I also speak fluent English and have been living in the UK for almost 10 years now. I like reading fictions in general (English/Chinese/Japanese). However, when it comes to speaking I often forget which expression to use. Besides reading, I also like appreciating the nature (going to parks and seeing plants), drawing (simple figures such as cute animals and chibi characters), and listening to musicals (Les Miserables, Hamilton, etc). It would be great if I can find someone to practise together. ^⌯𖥦⌯^੭

Hola soy Yvonne. I’ve been learning Spanish on Duolingo since 2021 and occasionally watch Spanish films and love to read Spanish. I’m probably intermediate level. I’m not aiming to get to advanced level but would love to be able to improve my speaking as it’s sort of OK but definitely not great.
I love my job in maternal mental health. I love gardening, playing badminton, walking, nature.
I’m married with 2 daughters in their 20s.

I am a visiting researcher in Edinburgh, and I would like to improve my English. I have noticed that people here in Edinburgh speak various forms of English, so I want to better understand them and make myself understood. Additionally, I have studied Spanish and Chinese by listening to Japanese educational radio programs for a few years, but I have rarely used them.
