Hi, I am Shota. I work as an internal medicine resident who works in NYC. I was born and grew up in Japan and graduated from medical school in Japan. After 5 years of training, I moved to NYC last year and started the residency. I still struggle listening to English, especially slang or daily speed conversation. Besides, I have so many Spanish-speaking patients, which also prompted me to learn Spanish. So, I am looking for people born in Spanish-speaking countries who can speak English well.

My Spanish goal is to make an excellent speech for my friend's wedding anniversary in the Dominican Republic, which will be held in January next year. He does not know I am learning Spanish. I plan to speak an excellent Spanish speech at the wedding out of nowhere to surprise him.

I am married but do have kids yet. My diversion includes ice hockey, golf, films, drinking, and sports. I also like to watch Japanese anime and manga, so I love talking about these things too.
