Language.Exchange

I teach philosophy of language at HKU. I'm looking for intermediate--advanced English speakers to teach me very basic spoken Cantonese, starting from nei hou. I would also be interested in mainly text conversations in Mandarin, which I know much better (but still poorly). I also know French, German, and Russian reasonably well but not enough to teach.

I can teach you in exchange advanced English usage/grammar, and culture of Ireland, UK, and US, can help with writing, and so on. I write for a living and hobby so I know English very well. I would particularly like it if we could do practical things--you teach me how to order vegetables at the market, then we go and do it together. We can also text if you would like to.
