For work I teach and research mathematics.
For fun, I travel, dance, play music, participate in sports, and study languages.
I have lived in Spain and Colombia.
I dance salsa, rueda de casino, and some American folkdances.
I play the piano and clarinet, and sing. I host music parties at my apartment.
I swim, bike, and run for exercise.
I organize conversation groups for Spanish, English, Portuguese, and Italian.
I speak Spanish and English fluently, and Portuguese and Italian well.
I am casually studying Latin to understand the etymology of words in the languages I speak.
