My name is Eric, and I am from Vancouver, Canada. I am currently completing my undergraduate degree. English is my primary language, hence I am fluent and can read/write at a high level. Mandarin is my secondary language. Aside from listening and speaking, I would say my Mandarin level is about that of an elementary school student (中文水平大该在小学5年级左右). My hobbies are snowboarding, gaming, and watching TV shows (more recently, I have been watching a lot of donghua动画). I am looking to make new friends whilst improving my Mandarin. Hi, I'm Claire, and I've lived in Canada all my life. I've been familiar with Portuguese since I was young, and have only recently started learning Mandarin. I'm taking classes for both, but I would love to participate in in-person language exchanges to help bolster my conversation skills and cover the gaps between classes. While Brazilian Portuguese is a beautiful dialect, I would prefer to practice Portuguese with a native European speaker, as that is the dialect of Portuguese my family speaks, and the accent I would like to practice. I've taught English and ESL classes intermittently for 5 years now, so if you want to practice your English I'd be more than happy to help with that.
