My name is Melanie. I'm 22 years old born in New York to Romanian parents. I grew up learning English at school and Romanian at home. I am fluent in both but I would like conversationally continue practicing Romanian as my daily activities involve me speaking solely English and I don't want to lose my fluency in the language. In addition, I took Spanish for 7 years in middle and high school so I can speak it conversationally. I am slowly picking up Russian as well!
I work as an emergency medical technician on an ambulance in addition to being a full time student. I'd like to be able to speak multiple languages with patients in addition to with friends. I think that culture can tie people together. I also work as a graphic designer remotely in Canada and am an avid hockey fan. :)

I prefer talking on Facebook or Kakaotalk, but it's fine here as well. I'm looking forward to making friends. I might reply a little late due to my exams, but I will reply as soon as I can. I like Football (Barcelona is my favorite), photography, travelling, puppies, dancing, reading books (mostly fantasy and horror), watching movies. I also like rock music, so that's that.
