My name is Jessie, I'm a Dutch language lover. Recently, I started learning Italian. Last year I started with Swedish.
I guess my level of understanding in Italian is A1, in Swedish A1-A2. I would love to have conversations about any topic in both languages with people who are learning Dutch.
For Esperanto I'm looking for other Esperanto speakers to have contact with, and to learn from their cultures.
I also dabbled into Levantine Arabic (specifically the Syrian dialect). My level is very low, but I'd like to practice from day 1, not just with vocab and grammar but also with writing and speaking.

I don’t chat with people of other nationalities.
To me, gender is more like nationality.
Learning a language requires systematic study; it’s not something you can master just by chatting with people from different countries here as if it were a game. Not to mention that some pathetic and pitiful men are still using language learning as an excuse to harass women from other countries.
Traveling is better than reading a thousand books. You don’t actually need to form fleeting, meaningless connections with people from different countries; you need to go see for yourself. I believe that in real life, people with stable jobs and settled lives don’t invest much emotion in so-called online 'friends'.
As a woman, it’s hard not to feel angry. Why should we have to put up with harassment just for having the courage to post our own photos? Those maggots in the gutter—I curse them to die a miserable death for all eternity.

I’ve been learning German on and off for about 25 years and want to finally reach full fluency. While my pronunciation is strong, I still struggle with conversational flow, especially with gendered nouns and the conjugation system. I’m interested in everyday life, history, philosophy, video games, and modern German music, and would love to practice around those topics.
