I'm ス I speak Somali and English to a native level because my blood is Somali and I grew up in London, UK. I've lived in Nagoya Japan in my teenage years so speak a little Japanese and love Japan, the culture, the food and the language but don't get to speak much Japanese whilst here in the UK (though I luckily get to go back to Japan for work every now and then). I am looking to practice Japanese and of course I am more than happy to help anyone with English. I studied and have worked in the Law and legal sector so have a good grasp of written and formal English.
I would also like to learn Chinese (Mandarin) for work so would be grateful for anyone who is willing to teach me Mandarin. I am an ABSOLUTE beginner and only currently know Ni hao, Ni hao ma, Xie Xie and Bu Ku Qie 😭 (I'm so sorry if I've written them wrong) but I would like to at least understand business Mandarin comfortably and would greatly appreciate help in achieving this!
I love the Ocean!!! And Water activities, I love basketball and travelling. I love and practice two martial arts (Kali / Wing Chun) and I enjoy cooking. I like to read, especially ancient philosophies that promote self discipline and / or peaceful living and have a deep respect for Lao Tzu / Confucious / Rumi and Miyamoto Musashi so I am happy to discuss almost anything.
Please feel free to send me a message, I work far too much (😭) but will do my best to reply soon!

Hello, My name is Jay. I am a University Researcher in the UK. I am learning Russian, as I find it an interesting language.
This year my University appointed to be in charge of Far east Asia, Especially South Korea. As part of my job I have to speak to companies and research institutes for collaborations. It would be useful in my Job to learn Korean.
I appreciate any help you can give me.
Thank you in advanced
I have lived in Japan for 6 years, in Osaka, Nagoya and Fukushima.
Now I am back home in the UK, working full-time as a translator.
I enjoy video games in their capacity as interactive media, and I have been lucky enough to meet and work with many game developers from Japan and abroad. I think there's still plenty of room for video games to mature as a genre.
I also enjoy music, especially from the baroque and renaissance period of western classical, but also various other genres that carry a strong sense of culture.
Why am I here? I want to make friends with more Japanese people, especially since I am not living in Japan right now. I would like the opportunity to help each other improve in our target language.
I am native Japanese living in the UK over 10 years.
I would like to do language exchange with English native (possibly know British English) and Spanish native speaker.
1. English - advanced & brush up more..
I work in the UK so I use English daily so do not have a big problem much with my English.
However, I realised that most of my friends are non English native and I have no British friends,
and I lack of knowledge on the the daily conversation, culture and slang maybe because I often travel to other countries and never settle down in this country well.
I would like to learn some more casual or informal British English and want to learn more about culture and their way of living. In return, I am happy to help your Japanese.
2. Spanish- beginner & want to use this for travel
Hola. Soy de Japon y vivo en Reino Unido. Me gustó viajar. He visitado 43 paises. Mi sueño es viajar tantos como sea posible.
Estoy aprendiendo español porque yo quiero visitar a Sudamérica.
I am looking for someone who are Spanish native and can teach me Spanish.
I am happy to help your Japanese.
From York, just come back from spending five weeks travelling across Japan. My hobbies include watching anime and sports, playing videogames, drinking craft beer, listening to music (mostly punk, metal and AKB48), cooking and walking. Learning Japanese and studying an online TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course. Happy to help with your English if you'll help with my (poor) Japanese :)
Here I am!
I like different languages and cultures since I was a kid. Therefore I'm here to learn about your culture or your language too!

Hello my name is James.
I am based in the UK and a native English speaker.
I work as a Lawyer and also have some experience teaching Law in English University settings.
I have just started to learn Japanese after visiting Japan twice. I would also like to learn Swedish having visited Sweden recently. I am open to learning new languages so would like to give other languages a try and see if I like them.
I have experience in helping people learn English so am happy to help people with English
I'm a student from the city of London, in England. I enjoy learning languages with a primary focus on Asian languages because I find the different alphabets interesting and in most cases quite beautiful.
I'm only just starting out in both Korean and Japanese, however, and there's no one in my real life for me to practice with, hence I'm here. I hope I will find people willing to help me here who remain respectful during our conversations.
Away from languages, I enjoy reading, writing and sometimes I draw (although I'm not very good at it).
I hope you can help me and I can help you!
P.S. I prefer exchanges with a mutual benefit.
I had the opportunity to work in Italy for 3 months and reached B1 level. I would like to progress and complete the exams to beyond B2. I found that a friendly environment and the ability to build rapport with someone was extremely conducive to learning in a relaxed way. Plus a coffee and chat is so much more fun than just grammar books!
I love swimming, running and racket sports. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to work and volunteer in multiple Countries, hence language has become my passion. My mother tongue is Punjabi which was/is spoken at home and I studied formally up until university education. I spend my time divided in Oxford and London: it would be great to hear from you and hopefully progress together!
