Hello!
My name is Cesar, my ethnicity is Filipino, but I was born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada.
I travel to Japan annually, as I really enjoy the country, the culture, and all the people. With that being said, I speak as much Japanese as any tourist with a translation book, but I would like to read and speak Japanese more fluently. Being able to converse with the local residents in Japan would be a great accomplishment, as well help me with my own personal goals.
I try not to use Google Translate, as I feel it saps the fun out of being in a foreign country. If there are any Japanese residents, or anyone who speaks Japanese, who are willing to help me learn Japanese, GREAT! I am more than willing to help you learn English in return!

I can comfortably read hiragana and katakana. I am still in the process of learning kanji and vocabulary. I'm starting to learn grammar to form basic sentences.
I would eventually like to speak Japanese but I am in the very early stages of my journey!
In the meantime I am happy to make a new friend and chat in English and will try to communicate as best I can in Japanese (日本語)!
